SGHC Academy in brief
The SGHC eAcademy is an initiative of the Swiss Society of Cardiac Surgery (SGHC-SSCC, www.sghc.ch). The aim of the project is to provide valuable educational content all members of the SGHC-SSCC ensuring continuing medical education by sharing multimedia content and through the acquisition of training points (CME), in its eCourse (eLearning) section.
The SGHC eAcademy platform is independently financed by the generous support our industrial partners and by the SGHC-SSCC in fashion of a multi-sponsorship. The presence of the industry is mainly limited to the separate section marked "Our Partners" and throughout the rest of the platform, with content clearly labelled as "sponsored".
What SGHC eAcademy offers
The SGHC eAcademy is a comprehensive online training program aiming at leveraging modern digital tools to provide an optimal user-friendly training experience. This format ensures the continuity of training in cardiac surgery and offers an interactive experience for participants.
The platform provides continuous access to exclusive and original content designed by cardiac surgeons for cardiac surgeons in Switzerland including also younger colleagues in training with postgraduate content. By providing high quality educational content the SGHC e-Academy helps to maintain a high levels of knowledge and expertise throughout the year.
The program features a variety of content formats, including recordings of physical events as well as accredited eCourses that provide continuing medical education (CME) credits. The engagement and active contribution of participants, even remotely, is ensured through different digital means (mobile application etc.).
How to participate
Simply log in to the platform as a member of the SGHC-SSCC, for free access to all our content and event information. If you are not a member of the SGHC-SSCC, please contact the society at info@sghc.ch.
Once registered onto the platform, you will be able to access all our video content and/or follow eCourses allowing you to collect up to a maximum of 10 CME points/year.
